  • Will have, or be working towards, NVQ3 in Health & Social Care
  • Been providing care for 1-2 years.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Working with the Registered Manager you will be responsible for rostering care visits, keeping up with changes and dealing with all queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Building excellent relationships with our carers, clients and health professionals whilst ensuring the care team is supported and our clients are delighted with the service they receive.
  • Be part of the on-call team on a one in four-week rota.
  • Delivering care as required and demonstrating leadership from the front.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the office to ensure the highest standards are maintained whilst regulatory requirements and company policies are fully followed.
  • Building the business through actively seeking new clients - our excellent reputation is a source of new enquiries!
Schedule: 40 hours per week Office hours typically 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Flexibility is required to undertake direct support to meet the needs of the business, this may include the need to work shifts, unsocial hours and weekends. Care Assistants provide care for our clients in their own home, this includes: .To assist service users personal care who need help with getting up in the morning and going to bed at night, to include dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, showering and / or use of the toilet.
  • Personal Care such as assist with showering/bathing, dressing, medications,
  • Practical Support such as laundry, cleaning, preparing and cooking meals and taking people out to the shops, doctors or social events.
  • Specialised Care - Supporting people with specialist needs.
  • To help service users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, to include incontinence and the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of service users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
  • To make and change beds, to include tidying rooms, light cleaning duties and emptying commodes.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in Company events.
  • To comply with the organisations policies, procedures and guidelines at all times.
  • To report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a service user.
  • To encourage service users to remain as independent as possible.
Education and previous experience is not essential as we provide training to all candidates :
  • Good written and spoken English language
  • Knowledge of the local area
  • Reliable and trustworthy as lone working is required

You will be working within a small friendly team of staff providing the best support to adults with learning disabilities. We need you to be flexible, willing to learn and to provide the best service to an individual with a disability to live their lives to the full.   Duties:
  • Participating in household tasks e.g. cooking, cleaning, gardening etc.
  • Participate in the preparation and serving of food as part of a nutritional and well-balanced diet whilst adhering to food hygiene standards.
  • Accompanying on visits to healthcare professionals when necessary e.g. doctor, dentist.
  • Actively involve themselves in the provision of service users’ day care and leisure and encourage and assist service users to use local facilities.
  • Recording details accurately in Care Plans, diaries and cash books of activities and events and passing on relevant information verbally to other staff.
  • Must facilitate and support any contact the service user has with their family and friends in the way that helps the service user most.
  • Administering medication (with training)
